General procedures to obtain a X-ray Machine/Radiation Emitting Products License

1. The applicant must collect an Application Form from the Account Section of BAERA.

2. The dully filled out Application Form (clearly showing the designation, signature and official seal of an approved Applicant/Radiation Control Officer), must then be submitted to BAERA.

3. The Applicant must also pay a License Fee (BDT 10,000 for Medical Diagnostic X-ray Machine and BDT 30,000 for NDT X-ray Machine) through Pay Order/ Bank Draft for an application to be valid.

4. If necessary, BAERA will conduct an inspection of the machinery to be imported.

5. Finally, the relevant section prepares the license after completing all required formalities and will issue the license to the applicant.

6. Licenses are issued under the Nuclear Safety and Radiation Control Rules -1997.

4	Receipt copy of TLD badge for the examining radiation worker, collected from Health Physics Division of Atomic Energy Centre.
5	Copy of Pay Order/Bank Draft	Original
6	Shielding Analysis and design of X-ray room for NDT related work.
7	The Evidence paper of the collecting Radiation Survey Meter.
