In the power and accordance of SRO No 154- Law/2015/34/Customs – Customs Act, 1969 (Act No. IV of 1969) – Section 19 and Clause 14(1) of VAT Act 1991, the government after consultation with NBR has decided to modify the SRO No. 157-Law/2011/2343/customs as follows:

In the column-1 of the above mentioned table:

a.     H.S. code ‘8523.49.20’ and its relevant entry will be replaced as:

“8523.49.21  Other recorded optical media incorporating software (excluding customized)” and

b.     Entry against the H.S Code 8523.59.10 has to be removed.
