USA: 2024 Plastic Minimum Content Standards Reporting for Plastic Beverage Manufactures

As a reminder, the 2024 Plastic Beverage Container Virgin and Postconsumer Resin Report is due on or before 1 March  2025.  Please carefully read the attached notice for information about the requirements and Zoom “virtual office hours” sessions during which staff will be available to answer questions about the reporting and minimum postconsumer recycled (PCR) requirements.  The attached standardized report forms should be completed and signed electronically and submitted to CalRecycle by emailing it to MarketInformation@CalRecycle.ca.gov or mailing it to Statistical Information Section, Division of Recycling, Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, P.O. Box 4025, Sacramento, California, 95812-4025.Beverage Manufacturers that bottle, can, or otherwise fill plastic beverage containers or import filled plastic beverage containers subject to the California Redemption Value (CRV), for sale to distributors, dealers, or consumers are required to report the amount in pounds and by resin type of virgin plastic and postconsumer recycled plastic used by the manufacturer for plastic beverage containers subject to CRV for sale in the state in the previous calendar year.   For more information on these requirements and FAQs, please visit the following webpages:Plastic Minimum Content Standards and Reporting (AB 793) - CalRecycle Home Page
