This standard prescribes the requirements for wines and gives details of labelling, manufacturing and the characteristics of the wine. It provides guidance on the production process and establishes maximum limits for heavy metals and other relevant compositional parameters in the final product. The standard also outlines microbiological criteria applicable to Tequila to ensure product safety and quality.
