USA: Parts and Accessories Necessary for Safe Operation; License Plate Lamps

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) amends the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
(FMCSRs) to add an exception from the lamp and reflective device
requirements for license plate lamps on the rear of truck tractors
while towing a trailer. This amendment removes an unnecessary
regulatory requirement without impacting safety.>Effective 23 March 2026.>

Petitions for reconsideration of this final rule must be submitted
