The Bangladesh Trade Portal (BTP) is an official source of all regulatory information relevant to traders who wish to import goods into Bangladesh or export to other countries. Products covered: Raw materials and raw glass (ICS code(s): 81.040.10)This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 245 /2025 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six -month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 9100 "cullet glass used for recycle - general characteristics and requirements"; (15 page(s), in Arabic).It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/545 dated    12 May 2025.worth mentioning is that this standard complies with the following:Commission Regulation (EU) No 1179/2012 establishing criteria determining when glass cullet ceases to be waste under Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.Glass Recycling Handbook - Assessment of Available Technologies.Waste Glass Industry Standards- Australian Government - Department of agriculture water and the environmentSpecifications for recycled crushed glass as an engineering material report.Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazetteAgency or authority designated to handle comments and text available from:National Enquiry Point
