Thailand: Draft Ministerial Regulation Prescribing Industrial Products for Polypropylene Resin to Conform to the Standard B.E.

The draft Ministerial Regulation mandates polypropylene resin to conform to the Thai Industrial Standard TIS 1306-2566 (2023) Polypropylene Resin.This draft Ministerial Regulation applies to the following industrial products:     1. Virgin Polypropylene Resins composed of a homopolymer made from propylene monomer.     2. Virgin Polypropylene Resins composed of a copolymer of propylene monomer and ethylene (C2), where the ethylene content does not exceed 15% by mass fraction.     3. Virgin Polypropylene Resins composed of a copolymer of propylene monomer and alkene olefins, ranging from C4 to C8, where the combined content of alkene olefins does not exceed 15% by mass fraction.     4. Virgin Polypropylene Resins composed of a copolymer of propylene monomer, ethylene (C2), and alkene olefins, ranging from C4 to C8, where the combined content of ethylene and alkene olefins does not exceed 15% by mass fraction.     5. Virgin Polypropylene Resins in which the content of propylene monomer is not less than 50% by mass fraction.This draft Ministerial Regulation does not apply to polypropylene compound and recycled polypropylene resins.
