Indonesia: Draft Decree of Minister of Industry on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Cigarette Paper

Regulation of Minister of Industry No. 63 Year 2024 regarding Mandatory Implementation of Indonesia National Standard for Cigarette Paper.The Regulation covers the issuance of SNI certificate using type 5 certification scheme, production process assessment and implementation of ISO 9001:2015, including product quality testing based on:SNI 3755:2019 Cigarette Paper with product harmonized system (HS) Code :

a. for cigarette papers with tariff post/harmonized system  (HS) Code:

1) 4813.20.21;

2) 4813.20.31;

3) 4813.90.11; and

4) ex. 4813.90.91.

b. for plug wrap paper with tariff post/harmonized system  (HS) Code:

1) ex. 4813.20.23;

2) ex. 4813.20.32;

3) ex. 4813.90.19; and

4) ex. 4813.90.99.

c. for tipping paper with tariff post/harmonized system (HS) Code ex. 4813.90.99; and

d. for homogenized tobacco leaf (HTL) with tariff post/harmonized system (HS) Code :

1) ex. 4813.20.21;

2) ex. 4813.20.31;

3) ex. 4813.90.11; and

4) ex. 4813.90.91.Domestic or imported Cigarette Paper products produced before this regulation may still be distributed for a maximum of 6 (six) months from the enforcement date.
