Indonesia: Draft Decree of Ministry of Industry on Mandatory Indonesia National Standard; SNI 07-3567-2006

Regulation of Minister of Industry : No. 36/M-IND/PER/5/2014,No. 90/M-IND/PER/8/2010No. 23/M-IND/PER/2/2011No 41/M-IND/PER/2/2012 has been revoked and replaced by Regulation of Minister of Industry No. 64 Year 2024 regarding Mandatory Implementation of Indonesia National Standard for Hot Rolled Steel Sheets, Plates and Coils and Cold Rolled Steel Sheets and Coils. The Regulation covers the issuance of SNI certificate using type 5 certification scheme, production process assessment and implementation of ISO 9001:2015 , including product quality testing based on:a. SNI 8522:2024 for Hot Rolled Steel Sheets, Plates, and Coils for General Structural and Welded Structural Applications (Bj PS);

b. SNI 8784:2024 for Soft Hot-rolled Steel Sheets, Plates, and Coils (Bj PL); and

c. SNI 3567:2024 for Cold Rolled Steel Sheets and Coils (BJ D).Bj PS (a) and Bj PL (b) have tariff post/harmonized system (HS) numbers:

a. Ex. 7208.25.00;

b. 7208.26.00;

c. Ex. 7208.27.19;

d. Ex. 7208.27.99;

e. Ex. 7208.36.00;

f. 7208.37.00

g. 7208.38.00;

h. Ex. 7208.39.20;

i. Ex. 7208.39.40;

j. Ex. 7208.39.90;

k. Ex. 7208.51.00

l. 7208.52.00;

m. 7208.53.00;

n. Ex. 7208.54.90;

o. Ex. 7208.90.90;

p. Ex. 7211.13.13;

q. Ex. 7211.14.15;

t. Ex. 7211.90.19.Domestic or imported Hot Rolled Steel Sheets, Plates and Coils and Cold Rolled Steel Sheets and Coils products produced before this regulation may still be distributed for a maximum of 1 (one) year from the enforcement date.
